Kite surf course for beginners and intermediates
Our kite surf beginner's course is instructed according to IKO standards with safety being a priority. A maximum of four students are taught with the latest equipment to ensure maximum advantage to the students learning experience as well as their safety. A support boat is also always on-hand in case of an emergency.

Once a student has completed the entire course they will be issued with an IKO proficiency card that can help around the world with getting access, insurance and with equipment rentals.

The entire course, which is 20+hours and usually lasts 5 days, will put you on the way to acquiring your own equipment.

We also have a 1 day course lasting 4-6 hours and is basically learning to fly the kite finishing with a body drag (without board) * Please see course information below.

The two days course condenses things a bit, lasts 8-12 hours and is aimed at getting you up and riding.

Private lessons for the experienced rider are also possible and last 2 hours per session.

The 5-day kite course consists of the following:

1st session:

• Introduction to kites with a look at different types and sizes

• Elementary rules of security

• Specific vocabulary for kite surfing

• Rigging up (inflation, connecting lines,…)

• Launching and landing from the beach

• Basic flying movement.

• Body drag downwind

• Kite recovery from the water

4th session:

• Water start and ride

• Ride across the wind, going out and returning to the beach

• Work on pressure transfer (leaning to control direction)

Please note that kite boarding is progressive and depending upon your ability/aptitude to learn, stamina and weather/wind conditions you may cover some but not all of topics outlined above during this beginner course.
